Coles Miller Revs Up As Poole Dream Machines’ Sponsor
27th February 2019
Coles Miller Solicitors are riding to the support of Poole Dream Machines – the South Coast’s biggest weekly motorcycle meet.
The Dorset law firm has returned as title sponsor of the popular event which faced an uncertain future in recent years due to increasing costs and the retirement of many volunteer marshals.
Now Poole Dream Machines’ future is assured – offering 26 weeks of gleaming two-wheeled heaven for motorcyclists and enthusiasts every Tuesday from April to the end of September.
Poole Dream Machines is a cornerstone of the borough’s special events programme, attracting up to 1,000 bikes to Poole Quay which line up to create a spectacular display beside the iconic harbour.
Bournemouth & Poole Tourism has been working with quayside businesses to ensure the full season continues.
Borough of Poole Tourism Portfolio Holder Cllr John Challinor welcomed the return of Coles Miller.
“This is great news and keeps the event on a secure footing, which is essential,” he said.
“With all the pressure on council budgets, partners such as Coles Miller who invest in the town play a huge role in helping the tourism team to deliver a programme of special events for everyone to enjoy.
“We know that events are crucial to promoting Poole. They bring visitors to local businesses and create employment, which benefits the town and the whole community,” he added.
Coles Miller – which has offices in Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Broadstone and Wimborne – previously sponsored Poole Dream Machines from 2009 to 2013.
Coles Miller Partner Adrian Cormack said: “As a business we have a great history of working with tourism to support and be part of events in Poole and this seemed like a natural step.
“We have a wonderful history with Poole Dream Machines – it has always been close to our hearts and something that we’re hugely proud to support.
“The event is such a Poole tradition. The passion and dedication of the riders shines through – we can’t wait for the start of the new season!”
Poole Dream Machines is part of Wave 105 Summertime in the South. It offers a unique atmosphere for bikers and spectators to enjoy a relaxed evening.
Riders can buy 2019 Poole Dream Machines armbands from the Tourist Information Centre in Poole Museum, the Lord Nelson and the Fish And Chips kiosk on Poole Quay.
The armbands offer riders entry for £8 in advance for the whole 26 weeks from April 2, 2019. Alternatively, weekly entry is £1 per bike.
Armbands are available to buy at the event on the Tuesday nights but riders will also need to pay the additional £1 non-refundable entry fee. Charges cover the running costs of the event.
