Welcome to 2025 in Poole! We'd like to invite you to explore some new interests this year or revisit some old favourites!
No trip to Poole is complete without a stroll on Poole Quay. Poole is steeped in maritime history, and you feel this no more so than when you arrive at the old part of the High Street, and the Quay. From pleasure boat trips, to fishing boats, and home to Sunseeker, Poole is a working port, that also has time to play. The Quay also offers a wide variety of eateries from takeaway fish and chips in the paper, to an elegant sit down meal featuring delicious fresh sea foods (think catch of the day) from tables with crisp linens and seaviews.
How about some al fresco shopping? Poole Market runs every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in the pedestrian section of the high street. There's something for everyone at every price point at Poole Market!
Just a few steps away from the market, if you have not already discovered Kingland, head there because you are in for a treat. Home to a delightfully unique shopping mix, from Wild Roots for plant lovers, to Restored Retro for mid century furniture heaven. Then there's Grounded Coffee for a real quality cuppa. You'll also find Boiler Records and some independent boutiques and gift shops.
If you're looking to rejuvenate after the festive season, look no further than BCP Leisure and BH Live to get active acrosss Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole this January. From swimming to classes and gym facilities, if you're on a short break, pay as you go visitors are very welcome.
