Poole Dream Machines - Bike of the Night 31st July

Over 650 bikes lined up and on Poole Quay on Tuesday 31 July for a Summer’s evening of Poole Dream Machines, sponsored by Dutton Gregory.

Congratulations to Bob Cole from Poole, who won the weekly ‘Bike of the Night’ title with his treasured Harley Davidson Softail machine. Bob said “he is an older person reliving his youth. He has owned the bike since July 2017 and wants to keep riding it for as long as his health will allow”   He rode home with the special prize of bike cleaning kit courtesy of Muc-Off Ltd.  Judge on the night, Cate Battson of event sponsor Dutton Gregory Solicitors said: "This one stood out as it reminded me of my dad’s old Harley Davidson. His was a mint and cream Softail and I could always hear him coming up the road.”

The popular weekly event, sponsored by Dutton Gregory Solicitors, is organised and managed by the Poole & Bournemouth Tourism office and part of Poole’s Wave 105 Summertime in the South events programme. 

Poole Dream Machines sees the largest weekly motorcycle meet in the South taking place every Tuesday evening from 6pm, April – September.  From the latest superbikes and custom builds to vintage classics and trikes, Poole Quay and Harbour offer the perfect location to show off a superb range of motorbikes where bikers and spectators enjoy a unique relaxed atmosphere.   And with a great selection of waterside cafes, bars, restaurants and food kiosks to enjoy during the event, it is the perfect place to relax and have a bite to eat.

Pre-purchased armbands give easy and free access to the whole season or riders can pay £1 per bike on the evening.
