Wrap up with an extra layer and enjoy a crisp walk in the shelter of tall trees, soaking up the last of the summer sun as the leaves turn a beautiful red and gold. When the leaves turn to stunning autumnal colours there are many spots around town the enjoy the scenery.
With nearly a fifth of Poole open green space, 43 play parks and more than 500 hectares of heathland, there are fabulous opportunities to get out, get active and see some stunning parks and gardens in autumn beauty.
Just a short walk from the centre of town you'll discover a haven of peace and rare beauty, Poole Park. With a lake at the centre and surrounded by facilities for all occasions, Poole Park is truly impressive this time of the year.
The Beach in autumn may seem an odd pick but the gentle sound of crashing waves while your wrapped up can be incredibly calming. Grab a coffee or hot choc and go for a walk on the long stretch of golden sands, or stop to watch brave wind-surfers and other water sports fanatics from the many spots that overlook Poole harbour.
Just away from the beaches the many chines offer great sheltered walks with beautiful colours and wildlife, it won’t be hard to spot some pesky squirrels darting in and out of the trees as you wander through these historic valleys. Branksome Dene Chine opens wide into the beachfront dotted by the iconic beach huts, Alum Chine contains a nice walk with suspension bridge and tropical gardens.

Less than an hour west you can discover the stunning Purbecks and the Jurassic Coast with many amazing locations that really comes alive this time of year.
