Zombies to parade through Poole this Hallowe’en
26th September 2018
Organised by Poole BID and Zombie Escapes HQ, Poole’s first Zombie Fest will take over Poole High Street on Saturday, October 27, starting from 10am.
Poole Zombie Fest is a free, family-friendly day of spook-tacular activities taking place within Falkland Square, in the Dolphin Shopping Centre. All visitors are encouraged to wear zombie fancy dress and visit the special effects stand, where experts will be on hand throughout the day to add the perfect finishing touches to their costumes ahead of the day’s festivities.
The free-to-enter Zombie Parade will begin gathering at Falkland Square at approximately 3:30pm and will travel along the high street to end at Town Quay at 4.45pm. Prizes will be awarded on the day for the ‘Worst Dressed’ zombies.
A specially designed pop-up escape room will be in place throughout the day – where the race is on to find the vaccine and save the world. Get your picture taken as a survivor (or an infected zombie) in the souvenir picture booth.
Entertainment for all the family will be available in Poole town centre from 10am, visit the High Street for themed traders, spooky snacks, face painting, and live music. Finish the evening with a visit to the local pubs and restaurants.
Justin Hundley-Appleton, BID manager, said: “Plans are coming together well for Poole Zombie Fest, the team at Zombie Escapes HQ have some great things in store for all those who dare to attend for some frightful fun. There will be more than enough to keep the whole family entertained all day, so come down early!
“The BID board directors and I are looking forward to judging the ‘Worst Dressed’ zombie costume competition and seeing how creative everyone gets with their costumes, it’ll be a great day out for all the family.”
