Celebrating Poole's rich nautical heritage, this stunning free maritime-themed light trail weaves through the town from the Lighthouse Quarter to Poole Quay for the second year in a row. Expect to see dazzling decorations and sea-themed trees across Poole. The event is open throughout the season from 25 November 2023 - 2 January 2024, so don’t miss out on enjoying Poole’s rich nautical heritage with our spectacular trail of maritime-themed lights.
- What is there to see?
Featuring a giant anchor, a five-metre-high tall ship, Christmas trees adorned with seashells and starfish and so much more, we're looking forward to welcoming you! We've even got Wish the Whale and Tinsel the Turtle recycling bins, waiting to dispose of your empty plastic bottles. These are then taken away and recycled into Christmas decorations to impress and delight thousands more! To find out more about the trail, explore the trail page.

Choirs at Christmas, sponsored by Poole BID and Absolute Music, will be filling Poole town with festive harmonies with over 200 singers from the launch until 16 December. Poole BID and City Cruises are delighted to be hosting Samba Panashe Marching Band as well as bringing Santa to Poole's shores during the launch on 25 November!

Shop for gifts and local produce every Saturday & Sunday from 25 November to 24 December (10am to 4pm) at Poole Quay’s Hennings Christmas Market, supported by City Cruises. Whilst you're enjoying the festivities, Sail with Santa on a festive cruise in Poole Harbour and take in some stunning sights.

With great links to motorways, public transport and its own airport – getting to Poole Christmas Maritime Light Trail couldn’t be easier! South Western Railway operate directly from London to Poole in less than 2hours, you can travel easily from Southampton and Weymouth, tickets can be booked in advance.
