Bournemouth will see the top BMX riders from around the UK descend on its shores over the August Bank Holiday weekend this year, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August, as it hosts the prestigious finale to the 2022 British BMX Series.

BCP Council is proud to be partnering with Bournemouth BMX Club, one of the oldest and longest running BMX clubs in the country, to host this major event for British Cycling in the UK's top summer tourist resort.

This BMX facility at Ilford Lane is the only racetrack facility in Dorset and when not being used by the club, is available for public use by the growing number of people interested in this exciting sport.

Bournemouth BMX Club was established in 1982, and this year’s event marks 40 years of BMX racing, with the centrepiece of the national series visiting the town for the first time since 1994.
