Mudeford Seafood Festival
About
*CANCELLED for 2020*
Welcome to the first May Bank Holiday, Mudeford Seafood Festival.
A perfect celebration of Mudefords’ rich cultural heritage, its local produce and its historic links to the Solent, Christchurch Bay, Harbour and Quay.
The Seafood Festival is one of the South Coasts FREE community led events, set against the picturesque backdrop of Mudeford Quay, its historic fishing community, Christchurch Harbour and the Iron Age location of Hengistbury Head.
The annual event is a premium, family friendly event, showcasing the very best the South Coast can offer – why not make a weekend of it!
Seafood, Sounds and Sustainability
Three full and fun packed days for the whole family with delicious, locally sourced food and drink.
– A true showcase of local producers, suppliers, artisans and chefs, with daily FREE entertainment and cooking demonstrations in the festival kitchen; food sampling, drink pairing and sharing, as well as cooking tips for all culinary tastes.
– Live food demonstrations will be mixed with the sounds of local bands and musicians making each day go with a swing!
– For the kids (and the big kid in all of us) there will be a traditional “old skool” fun fair, as well as over 60 individual stallholders offering an extravaganza of local delights creating a “not to be missed event”.
Our stallholders are encouraged to focus upon sustainability and on an extremely current and important note the Mudeford Seafood Festival is proud to announce….
“Take 4 from the Shore” initiative.
The event is proud to be sponsoring and organising an annual beach clean around Mudeford and Christchurch Harbour as well as setting up the “Take 4 from the Shore” initiative, where we will be encouraging everyone to take 4 items of rubbish away from the shore whenever they visit.
With everyone proactively on board we can make a positive and necessary contribution to the sustainability of the sea, shoreline and wildlife.
