La Nova Singers return to the beautiful acoustic setting of St Ambrose with an ambitious concert of music to celebrate the glory of Christmas.
Excerpts from Bach's Christmas Oratorio will form the first half of the programme, with songs by Howard Goodall, Ola Gjeilo and John Rutter.
La Nova Singers will be conducted by their musical director, Michelle Nova, and accompanied on piano and organ by Sam Hanson. They will also be joined by guest instrumentalists from Poole Society for Young Musicians.
La Nova Singers bring some of the most vibrant and exciting choral music to life in concerts across the South. They perform an eclectic repertoire of classical, scared, operatic and contemporary choral music. The distinctive sound comes from their shared training in 'Bel Canto' technique, taught by musical director Michelle Nova. The choir is made up of thirteen soprano, mezzo soprano and alto singers.
