COUNTDOWN TO ERUPTION AS THE JURASSIC DANCE FESTIVAL GETS THE GO AHEAD!
It's on! Jurassic Dance Festival 2024 is all set to erupt over the weekend of August 16-18 at Wilkswood Farm in Swanage, Dorset. House, disco, garage, drum'n'bass, trance, old skool rave – whatever your bag it will be featured. Pioneering DJ Judge Jules will headline the inaugural festival supported by a stellar cast of over 60 DJs and producers across two stages, including David Penn, Tall Paul, Wh0, K-Klass, Slipmatt, Seamus Hadji, Brandon Block and Ed Case.

Presenting a nostalgic trip back in time, the festival will host three days of classic dance vibes plus three night's camping in a relaxed countryside setting right on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. Last year's event had to be postponed due to licensing authorities being unable to process the application in time but this year's festival has now got the official nod and is forging ahead.

Friday will see House pioneers K-Klass top the bill on the main stage with slots from the godfather of oldskool Slipmatt and the original Ibiza Nutter Brandon Block. Stage 2 will see a takeover by UK garage label Step2 Records with sets from Ed Case (Gorillaz), Daffy and the Cut Up Boys.

Spanish superstar DJ David Penn (Defected) will headline Xtra Hot Ibiza House session on Saturday, alongside Dr Packer (Glitterbox), Doctor Feelgood (Mambo Ibiza) and Kev Scott & Shannon Lawton (Poole's Hot Radio). Stage 2 sees a Bump'n'Hustle deep and soulful house takeover throughout the day with sets from DJ Bigger and Blackwax.

Then it's 'Put your hands in the air' time as the legend that is Judge Jules headlines the main stage on Sunday. He will be supported to Rock Da House by Tall Paul, enigmatic duo WhO (Ministry/Printworks), Andy Galea (Sol Brothers) and Paul Moss & Jon Langford (Manor). Stage 2 will present a Deeper Drum & Bass takeover featuring Big Bud, Dark Dean and MC Shadow.

The family-friendly festival will invite mums and dads ready to revisit the club sounds of their youth in a safe, relaxed and welcoming setting in the heart of the Purbeck countryside. With capacity limited to 1,000, the festival will be a more relaxed, calmer environment than other larger events, aiming to encourage both dance-addicted teens and ex-clubbing parents to bring their kids to see how they did things in the old days. With a kid's zone and lots of activities for children over the course of the weekend, including DJ and dance workshops, mum and dad should be free to let their hair down just like they did back in the day.

The main arena and bar are undercover so the music can continue whatever the weather. There is ample camping across the site so there's plenty of space for everyone. Campervans and small caravans are welcome in the campervan field and there is a designated field close to the arena for disabled ticket holders. There will be bars and streetfood stalls catering for all tastes and persuasions as well as merchandise stalls selling clothing, sunglasses, hats and the odd smiley badge or two.

Adult weekend tickets are priced at just £99 and include full access to the main dance arena from Friday to Sunday, three night's camping and free parking for the weekend. Under 18s are £49 and under 3s are free. A Family Weekend Bundle (two Adult & two Youth tickets) is available for £249.

Day tickets are also on sale for £45.00 each including a night's camping and free parking.

Campervans, mobile homes and small caravans are welcome in our campervan field for an extra £39 for the weekend.

The festival is organised by Hard Way Promotions, the same team behind the Wilkswood Reggae Festival, now in its eighth year and which runs on the same site in July.
