Christmas Concerts with the BSO

About

Christmas is a time for family and fun and are delighted to bring a seasonal selection of concerts this Christmas and New Year to suit all tastes.

We are back with our traditional performance of Handel's Messiah, always a Christmas treat, as well as our rip-roaring Last Night of the Christmas Proms packed full of festive favourites old and new! We also have our Celebration of Christmas Carols – a chance to sing along in your favourite carols.

Handel's Messiah: Wed 14 December, 7.30pm
The BSO is joined by a quartet of stunning soloists who sing Handel's beautiful oratorio arias, joined by the full Bournemouth Symphony Chorus with choruses galore, including of course, the celebrated Hallelujah Chorus. We're sure to raise the roof!

Last Night of the Christmas Proms, hosted by Ben Forster: Sat 17 December, 7.30pm
The ultimate musical Christmas cracker, our ever-popular festive concert of hits is back with an overflowing bundle of musical treats including Jingle Bells, Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. This year our host is singer/actor Ben Forster, who has played the lead roles in musicals including Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera, The Rocky Horror Show and Evita

Celebration of Christmas Carols: Fri 23 December, 7.30pm
It just isn't Christmas without our traditional carols sing-along. Join us for a seasonal spread of Yuletide treats and classic carols old and new, including God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, O Come All Ye Faithful and Good King Wenceslas.
