Beaulieu F1 Cars: An Engineering Challenge

F1 Cars: An Engineering Challenge

About

What is Formula 1?  Why does a Formula 1 car look the way it does? How do the teams go about designing the cars? What are the main contributors to the car performance?

On Saturday 15 September these questions and more will be answered by Steve Fenwick, Head of Full-Size Car CFD at Renault Sport Racing.

The races we watch on TV are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the people and effort involved: hear about the intense, highly skilled work that you don’t see on TV, that takes place 24 hours a day at the team factories, just to take 2 cars racing somewhere in the world every couple of weeks.

Join Steve for a look into the design, performance and complexity of modern-day F1 racing cars, including insights into the F1 world away from the TV cameras, at the pinnacle of automotive engineering.
