Dolphins are becoming an increasingly frequent sight within the waters of Poole Bay. They can show up anytime from around April and sightings have been reported as late as November. Initial sightings are always by chance as it is impossible to know where and when they will be seen. Sightings can sometimes be frequent over several days but sometimes there may be weeks between sightings.

Through ongoing contact with our skippers and boats, Sea Fishing Poole will be among the first to know if a pod of dolphins are in the bay. If we believe that the pod is likely to stay local for several hours, providing an opportunity for our passengers to see them, then we will run short notice trips.

Sea Fishing Poole can also provide boats for general sight-seeing. Perhaps a cruise along the famous Jurassic Coast or to admire the bird colonies between Anvil Point and Durlstone Head or to one of the firework events or the Bournemouth Air Show.  Whatever the venue, viewing from a boat can increase the spectacle by placing you nearer the launch site. A trip to view the fireworks can often be the thrilling climax to an evenings fishing.

Our shop is open daily in the season early til late.  You can be sure of a smile whenever you pop in for that last minute piece of terminal tackle or to collect your bait prior to going fishing. The shop stocks a wide range of terminal tackle and bait and aims to be open for all charter boat departures throughout the year. Even opening out of hours to support any early charter boat departures at anglers and skippers requests.
