Poole Trail

Poole Trail

About

Poole Trail is an interactive way for Poole's visitors and residents to experience Poole Quay, Old Town and Harbourside Park.

Poole Trail offers multimedia insights that relate to specific sites, object and places around the town and museum.  Each signpost tells different stories and hidden tales about Poole's heritage and historic buildings, natural environment and wildlife, attractions and public art.

There are three different trails - one inside Poole Museum and two around the town.

As you walk follow the trails on your smartphone or tablet, and explore more when you get home on your laptop or PC.

Adventurers' Trail
The secret stories of Poole's smugglers, pirates and scouts! An exciting trail for younger visitors. Walking time approximately 60 minutes with kids.

Poole's Story Trail
Walk through Poole and journey through time to find out what made Poole the place it it today. Walking time approximately 60 minutes.

Museum Trail
Discover the stories behind our objects before, after and as you view them. Walking time approximately 60-90 minutes.

A leaflet showing the locations of sign locations can be picked up at the Tourist Information Centre.

You don't have to follow any particular route from signpost to signpost - make up your own Poole Trail to suit your interests.
