Specially designed for people with disabilities.
Trips are free. Early booking essential. Group & individual bookings can be catered for. Boarding from Berthing Office, Poole Quay Boat Haven, Poole Quay. Level walk/wheel on/off ramp.Only 12 passengers per trip including escorts (up to six manual wheelchairs or four electric chairs). There are usually two Harbour trips each day, from 11am to 1pm, and then from 2pm to 4pm. In addition there are also some additional tide dependent trips to Wareham and return usually between 11am and approximately 2.30pm. The operating season for Dolphin III is from 1 May until 30 September. Please note that bookings for each season begin from 1st March.

Sports Forum for the Disabled

Free sailing trips for the disabled on board "Knoticat" a stable, converted 10 metre sailing catamaran, which offers real "hands on" sailing.   The vessel is available for the use of all disabled people, their carers and where possible, their friends and family up to a maximum of 11 persons, to enjoy the beautiful waters in and around Poole Harbour. Sailing every weekday when the weather allows from early April to late September and all trips are made under the watchful eye of highly experienced and qualified skippers.

Poole Sailability

A friendly sailing club welcoming anyone with a disability to enjoy sailing in dinghies and keelboats in Poole Harbour.   Please note trips are free but there is a membership fee.   No sailing experience is necessary., and they aim to accommodate most disabilities, but you should be able to board a boat unaided, or with limited physical assistance. Ideal for novices and experienced sailors alike, and a safety boat accompanies sailors at all times. Buoyancy aids and lifejackets are provided to keep you safe. Sessions lasting approximately 2 hours are held on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings from May to the end of October.

Brownsea Seahorse

The Brownsea Seahorse runs a pre-bookable service for wheelchair bound visitors running from Sandbanks to National Trust Brownsea Island on set days (subject to weather and tide).   Call 01202 707744 for dates and booking.
