Bike of the Night Winner 18th April
L to R: Winner Paul Jennings and Judge Lloyd Morris.
A sunny but chilly evening welcomed over 600 bikes to Poole Quay for the third Poole Dream Machines of 2017.
April Dream Machine events this year are managed by Poole & Bournemouth Tourism, with volunteer marshals supplied by Quay Businesses, Poole Quay Fish & Chip Kiosk, Lord Nelson & Quayside Emporium.
The event sees the largest weekly motorcycle meet in the South, taking place every from 6pm Tuesday evening, April – September. From the latest superbikes and custom builds to vintage classics and trikes, the Quay and Harbour offer the perfect location to show off a superb range of motorbikes where bikers and spectators enjoy a unique relaxed atmosphere. And with a great selection of waterside cafes, bars, restaurants and food kiosks to enjoy during the event, it is the perfect place to relax and have a bite to eat.
Congratulations to Paul Jennings from Southampton who won the ‘Bike of the Night’ title on his Yamaha R1 2005. Paul said “the bike has been repaired using plasters!” Paul rode home with a race kit courtesy of Muc-Off, and a goodie bag from Lester Aldridge.
Judge for the night, Lloyd Morris, a paramedic chose the bike because “having received first aid it caught my attention and appealed to me.”
If you’re an avid biker, don't forget we have a limited stock of season armbands from Poole Tourist Information Centre (now located within Poole Museum) which give access to the whole season for £8. Please note you will not be able to trade in your £1 entry ticket on the event night.
