Showcase at Taste of the South’s Artisan Alley
Creative Artisan Producers to Set Sail and Showcase at Taste of the South’s Artisan Alley
CALLING ALL artisans, producers and manufacturers from across the South of England. If you have a creative passion, an innovation, or if you create authentic, hand-made products and then you may want to showcase your talent and products to a large crowd.
You and your business are invited to join us at Taste of the South, a showcase of the south of England which runs from the 19th-21st May and takes place in Poole Park, close to Poole Town Centre, Bournemouth and Sandbanks.
Artisans from across the region have already secured their place in the Artisan Area where they will trade, offer samples and educate people about their unique products.
Taste of the South has something for everyone. A fun-filled, jam-packed 3-day event where people from all over the UK and abroad will interact, engage and many will buy your products first-hand as they get a chance to meet you in person.
Said Jackie Phillipson from Taste of the South, “Artisanal hand-crafted products are on trend around the world and we know that there are some superb producers and amazing talents out there, and it’s our mission to find you and showcase you at Taste of the South.
This is our way of supporting the smaller, bespoke businesses out there and bring them to the public. We know it isn’t always easy to find your way as an artisan and this event can help you promote your work, raise awareness for your products, and put your business on the map.
There will be a chance to showcase the use of traditional techniques, new technologies or your own unique and creative style. Artisans are personal and this event will allow them to stand out from the ‘every-day’ products available from the supermarkets or superstores.”
Jackie Phillipson from Taste of the South continues, “In the Artisan Alley, you are guaranteed to find the best in hand-crafted, well-designed jewellery, trinkets, arts, gifts, and gadgets, as well as British food and drinks. All of the items are created by artisans based in and around the South of England. They are ALL talented individuals and their products are made by hand, by a real craftsperson and are unlikely to be found on the mass market nor in department stores – you will be buying something unique from each stall holder.
As a visitor, you will be doing your bit to help keep alive the traditional methods that have been handed down through generations when you visit the unique stall holders in Artisan Alley. Come and pay a visit across the weekend at Poole Park, where you can meet them in person and show your appreciation.”
The festival is being held in a picturesque location on the South Coast of Dorset. Exhibitors will enjoy stunning views of the beautiful Poole Park lake and, right on their doorstep, the award-winning beaches of Poole, Bournemouth and beyond. The event is part of the Poole Maritime Festival, which is set to attract thousands.
