British Independent Film Festival 2011 will be held at the Poole Lighthouse Cinema in Dorset on May 6th and 7th. The festival has grown since its inaugural year in 2010 and will be screening over two days, with more feature films and short films than ever before!

Forget about hunting for Easter Eggs this Easter and head to Britain's original Dinosaur Museum this Easter weekend to search for dinosaur eggs that are millions of years old instead. Over the long Easter weekend the Dinosaur Museum, in Dorchester, is holding the Great Dinosaur Egg Hunt. It is the Easter Egg Hunt with a difference and involves children in actually hunting throughout the museum to spot the dinosaur eggs on display and solving the Dinosaur Mystery. The Great Dinosaur Egg Hunt is from Good Friday 22 April to Easter Bank Holiday Monday 25 April.

Museums at Night in May 12 Apr 2011


Tickets are now on sale for this years Museums at Night in Dorchester on the evening of Saturday 14th May. After the enormous success of last year's event Dorchester's six museums are again joining together for a special open evening as part of this national event. New for this year is the addition of the Roman Town House - a very special historic site being the best-preserved example of a Roman Town House in the UK open to public. Dorchester, the historic county town of Dorset, is fortunate to have such a wealth of museums and heritage sites for everyone to enjoy.
